Life without internet!!!#$@*

Monday, February 4th, 2008

I just read that a fourth undersea cable lost connectivity between Qatar and UAE in less than a week..

Asia, Middle East and North Africa got affected by internet connectivity failure, is there any calculation of the losses occurred because of this..

According to CNN the fisrt cable will be fixed by Feb. 12th.

This is weird, I feel I’m watching a movie, and some kind of conspiracy behind it.

Lets imagine that in the coming month there is NO internet…

What would happen ??!

Black Google Saves Energy

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

Blackle… Black Google did you heard about it? If not…. I guess you will enjoy the idea.

Black Google

In January 2007 a blog post titled Black Google Would Save 750 Megawatt-hours a Year proposed the theory that a black version of the Google search engine would save a fair bit of energy due to the popularity of the search engine. Since then there has been skepticism about the significance of the energy savings that can be achieved and the cost in terms of readability of black web pages.

We believe that there is value in the concept because even if the energy savings are small, they all add up. Secondly we feel that seeing Blackle every time we load our web browser reminds us that we need to keep taking small steps to save energy.

Well it is really interesting topic, and I guess it is time to save energy people, Good bye Google, welcome Blackle ( it is beta version) now!!!!

HTC Touch™… competing with iphone or what?

HTC

Yesterday I saw a device, with touch screen ability, scrolling, flipping, it is available in the region, it is a revolution I liked it more than iphone, it is more into business. and of course by default, some of the problems in iphone are solved in this device.

Here is some of the problems, I found while researching about iphone:

You can’t import more or use your MP3s as ringtones, meaning you’re at the mercy of Steve Jobs’ personal taste AND he still hasn’t secured the rights to Beatles songs. Be afraid, be very afraid.

There’s no Flash, or Java for that matter; so watching web videos more a miss than hit on iPhones.

There’s no third party applications allowed on the iPhone.

A lot of people have had trouble activating their iPhone on the telecommunication company (such as AT&T Cingular network)

I think I will have this HTC device.

What do you think?
